91´«Ã½ Renews Partnership with Road Racer Maria Costello

91´«Ã½ is delighted to renew a sponsorship deal with celebrated motorcycle racer, Maria Costello, ahead of this year’s Isle of Man TT campaign. 2026 marks the 30^th anniversary of Costello competing on the iconic mountain course, with considerable successes in both the Supertwin and Sidecar classes under her belt in previous years. Costello – born just a stone’s throw from 91´«Ã½â€™ global HQ in Northampton – also held the Guinness World Record for being the fastest woman to lap the Isle of Man course (114.73 mph) until 2009. 91´«Ã½ had a close relationship with Costello during the earlier stages of her career – a relationship that has been rekindled for 2026 with the firm supplying its 91´«Ã½ Racing GPFAX brake pads and XC-Series floating discs for the rider’s Aprilia RS660 across the season.

“It’s great to have 91´«Ã½ back onboard, especially for the upcoming TT and my 30th anniversary of competing around the Mountain Course, as they have been a part of my career in the past and this feels like a full-circle moment,â€� Costello commented during a recent visit to the firm’s Northamptonshire headquarters.

“After splitting test duties, Jon Otter carried strong momentum into the weekend – consistently improving on last year’s pace and banking PBs across sessions. Nev Otter, meanwhile, was left searching for answers, struggling to unlock pace – a theme that would continue.�

“Another strong launch from Tim saw him right in the mix again – this time even closer to the front.�

“Up to 6th into Turn 1 and running as high as 5th, Tim showed serious pace before arm pump set in late race. Even so, it was a standout result and a big step forward on the new bike.

“Behind, Nev absolutely rocketed off the line—gaining eight places on lap one—but couldn’t hold the momentum as the race unfolded.�

“Jon had a strong start but lost ground in the opening corners. From there, he regrouped and stayed right in the fight, finishing just behind Nev while setting a new personal best.�

“Starting P7, Tim dropped slightly at the start but stayed consistent, keeping himself firmly in the top 10 fight.�

“Further back, the father-son battle added extra spice. Jon had his sights set on finally getting one over Nev—but Nev had other ideas.�

“A much stronger ride saw Nev finally find some rhythm, charging up to 17th before just losing a couple of spots late on after a hard fight.�

“Jon delivered another solid performance, getting involved in multiple battles and coming out on top—continuing his steady progression and race craft development.�

“The race itself had its challenges. A few red flags and safety car periods played against us, costing time as the field bunched up—but that’s endurance racing. Josh took the start, I handled the middle stints, and Joe closed out the race. Both Josh and Joe set an impressive pace, and I managed a couple of strong 40-minute sessions to support our charge. Thankfully, apart from the stoppages (and we hope everyone involved is okay), the event ran clean for us.
