The motorcycle racer uses EBC鈥檚 GPFAX pads and X-Series floating discs

24-year-old Spalding-based motorcycle racer, Morgan Creasey, is currently competing in various British Motorcycle and Racing Club (Bemsee/BMCRC) championships, including the Thunderbike Ultra and Clubman 1000 races, which he uses his K7 Suzuki GSX-R1000 to compete in.

Creasey鈥檚 motorcycle is fitted with 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 GPFAX motorsport brake pads and X-Series floating brake discs for this year鈥檚 campaigns.

The final rounds of the series he takes part in were held at Kent鈥檚 Brands Hatch recently, where Creasey was aiming for overall podium finishes in both categories by the end of the weekend.

鈥淚 needed 19 points to secure the Thunderbike Ultra championship and aim for P2 in the Clubman 1000 championship. The weather forecast for Sunday wasn’t looking good, so I decided to wrap up the championships by the end of Saturday. I took a conservative approach in qualifying and in each race.鈥

Saturday

鈥淚n the first qualifying session of the day, Thunderbike Ultra, I aimed to go out for a few laps to set a competitive time and preserve my tyres for the main race. This effort resulted in me securing the fourth position on the grid. Following that, in the Clubman 1000 qualifying, I encountered heavy traffic on the track, making it difficult to find a clear space. Despite this challenge, I managed to secure the 12th position overall and the second position in my class after completing one clear lap.鈥

Thunderbike Ultra

鈥淚n the first race, I started in 4th place on the grid. I had a good start, I didn’t push too hard and settled back in 4th听place, closely following the rider in 3rd听place. On the last lap, the rider in 3rd place made a mistake, giving me the opportunity to overtake and secure 3rd place, earning 16 points in the championship. In the second race, I started in 4th place again and only needed 3 points to secure the championship. After another good start, I followed the same rider and the race ended with a similar outcome to the first race finishing in 3rd听place and securing the points I needed.鈥

Clubman 1000

鈥淒uring the first Clubman 1000 race, we started on a wet but drying track. I chose to use wet tyres, but since the forecast predicted wet weather on Sunday, I didn’t want to wear them out prematurely. I got off to a good start, but as the track dried up, I didn’t want to push too hard and risk damaging my tyres. My main goal was to finish the race safely, and I ended up finishing in P7 on the track and P2 in my class. The next race was a dry one. I started this race in P9 on the grid. Unfortunately, I didn鈥檛 get a good start, and it quickly became apparent that the suspension setup was incorrect. This made the bike very difficult to ride, and I couldn鈥檛 maintain a fast enough pace to keep up with the leading pack. I finished the race in P8 on the track and P1 in my class. Despite this I had gained enough points over these 2 races to secure 2nd听position in the championship with 1st听place out of reach.鈥

Sunday

鈥淲ith both championships decided on Saturday I was in the fortunate position to go out and enjoy Sunday’s racing with no pressures.鈥

Thunderbike Ultra

鈥淒espite some early morning rain, the track had dried enough for us to use slick tyres for the first race of the day. I started the race in P5 on the grid, had a good start, and was leading by the first corner. After a lap, the battle was between Kieran and me, and we had pulled away from the rest of the pack. The race was stopped early due to a red flag for an accident and sudden rainfall. I finished the race in P2. In the second race, I started in P3, had another good start, and began a close battle with Kieran. I set a personal best lap time of 49.047, but ultimately couldn’t overtake Kieran and finished in P2.鈥

Clubman 1000

鈥淭he track had completely dried up in time for the first race. After a visit to TW Suspension, we made an adjustment to the suspension. I started this race in P7. I didn鈥檛 get a good start off the line and even though we had made adjustments, it still wasn鈥檛 enough to bring me to the leading pack. I finished this race in P6 on the grid and P1 in my class. Before the last race of the season, I made another visit to TW to make some more adjustments. I started this race in P7 and got my best start of the weekend on this bike, leading into the first corner. The bike felt a lot better, not perfect, but it gave me more confidence to run with the leading pack. This race was full of battles for 4th听place on the grid. I had a good final race and brought it home in P4 on the grid and P1 on track, with a personal best lap time of 48.922.

鈥淎 huge thank you to Cigma Racing for the 拢40 spot prize I received on Saturday evening.鈥

Vince Bennett Memorial Trophy

鈥淎fter the race, I was surprised to hear my name being called over the PA system to go to race control to be presented with the Vince Bennett Memorial Trophy. I am incredibly humbled to receive this trophy, which is awarded to 鈥楾he rider with the best overall performance of the meeting鈥. This was a huge surprise, something I really wasn’t expecting. What an honour!

鈥淲hen I returned to the garage I was then presented with a gift of sweets from Bec鈥檚 Sweet and Callum Manley for being the overall winner of the Clubman class. Much appreciated, especially for the drive home.鈥

Season Thanks

鈥淚 would like to express my gratitude to everyone at Bemsee, including the marshals and the medics (thankfully I didn鈥檛 require their services this year), for another great season. I also want to thank Kieth and Bradley for their witty commentary throughout the season. Additionally, I am thankful to all the photographers who have braved all types of weather to allow the use of their photos across the season. A special thanks to TW Suspension for all his help throughout the year and to my 2024 sponsors.鈥

Next Season听

鈥淣ext season, I plan to elevate my racing career by moving to the听(BSB) Superstock class for the 2025 season, using my听Honda Fireblade.听 I am excited for the adventures that lie ahead.鈥

Creasey recently took a side-step from the regular NLR action, to take part in the series鈥 鈥楳otul ACU National鈥 endurance race at the scenic Anglesey Circuit in North Wales.

The three-hour race saw setbacks, followed by the mother of all comebacks for the team that Creasey was a part of, seeing the outfit with in their class by the end of the action.

Read how the weekend panned out in Morgan鈥檚 own words below.

鈥淟ast weekend, I competed in something a little different: I was invited to join an endurance team at Anglesey Circuit.

The NLR鈥檚 鈥楳otul ACU National鈥 endurance race last weekend at听Anglesey Circuit saw me team up with the 鈥榊ou 2 Are Bullies鈥 team, along with David James and Keith Stringer, for a three-hour endurance race.

鈥淒uring the team qualifying on Saturday morning, each of us had a stint on the track. Our best lap time was 1:11.01, which put us in P2 in our class, and we started in row 9 on the grid.

鈥淚n the afternoon, the race began. We decided on a strategy of longer stints at the start and shorter stints toward the end, with each rider doing approximately 45 minutes before swapping. Unfortunately, a red flag at a crucial moment caused us to lose time. Despite this setback, we were determined to catch up.

鈥淎fter David’s stint, we were 42 seconds behind the leader in our category with only 35 minutes left. Instead of risking more time in pit stops, we decided to do a final stint and go all-out to close the gap to the leader. As we saw the time gap decreasing on the pit board, we gained belief that catching and passing the team in P1 was possible. With seven laps to go, we managed to overtake and took the lead in our class.

鈥淲e finished the race as winners in our class and P7 on the track!鈥

His year so far has been a huge success, with multiple wins and lap records along the way. And it was much the same at the latest round at Lincolshire鈥檚 iconic Cadwell Park circuit, where Creasey once again delivered, despite hugely varying weather conditions.

Creasey鈥檚 motorcycle was once again fitted with 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 GPFAX motorsport brake pads and X-Series floating brake discs across the weekend.

Saturday

鈥淭he Great British weather played a part in this weekend鈥檚 race format. Due to the expectant rain, the decision was taken on Friday evening that Saturday鈥檚 races would convert to one long race (12 laps) for each class, with points taken after 6 laps and again at the chequered flag. Sunday鈥檚 races would then run as two 6-lap races for each class.

鈥淭he first qualifying session of the day was for the Thunderbike Ultra. The track was wet, so I went out on full wet tyres. I managed to put a decent few laps in bringing the time down to a 1:50.44, putting me on pole. Next up was the Clubman 1000 qualifying. The track had begun to dry a little. I only had the choice of slicks or wets, so I went out for a single lap on wet tyres putting it on 7th. Any more laps would have destroyed the tyres.

鈥淎fter qualifying, the game of how quickly you can swap between wheels began for the weekend.

鈥淔irst up was the Thunderbike Ultra race. The race was quickly red-flagged. On the restart, I didn鈥檛 get a good start dropping back to 4th听after the first lap. The next few laps were spent moving back through the field taking the lead on lap 6 in time for full points for the first half. The second half of the race saw some tight battles with Donovan until lap 11 when a challenge for the lead resulted in a coming together. Unfortunately, Donovan went down, I managed to stop on with a bit of moto crossing across the wet grass before re-entering the track still in the lead and finishing P1.

鈥淭he last race of Saturday was the Clubman 1000 race. With the track still wet, we went out on full wet tyres. This race didn鈥檛 last long, as after 3 laps, the track was contaminated with oil. Due to how long it would have taken the circuit crew to clean the track, plus the rain, racing finished for the day. This race was carried over to the Sunday as an 8-lap race (points after 4 and at the chequered flag).鈥

Sunday

鈥淭he first race of the day was the Clubman 1000 race. This was the first dry race of the weekend. I started this race P7.听I got a good start but got boxed in so wasn鈥檛 able to make as much use of it as I would have liked. I was able to keep with the leading pack for the first half of the race, scoring 20 points for the first half. The second half, I was able to move my way up the pack, finishing P2 on the circuit, P1 in class with the fastest lap time of 1:34.68.

鈥淭he next race was the Thunderbike Ultra race. I started this race on pole. We were back to another wet race. I got a good start and led for the majority of the race. Throughout the race I didn鈥檛 feel comfortable with the suspension setting on the rear which caused a loss of grip through the Gooseneck. On the final lap, Donovan was able to pass me going through the Gooseneck section. I tried to pull it back but crossed the line in P2 with a gap of 0.074.

鈥淥nto the next Clubman 1000 race. By now, the track had dried so myself and all but 1 of the grid went out on slick tyres. It quickly became apparent that the sun was not sticking around and by the time we had got half way around the warm-up lap the rain was quickly coming down. As riders, we decided it would not be safe to start this race on slicks. Due to a tight timetable, this race and the next for this class was converted into one longer 8-lap race later in the day.

鈥淏y the time it was the next Thunderbike Ultra race the sun had made an appearance again. The track was quickly drying but as I couldn鈥檛 be sure how wet it would be through the Woodland section or if it would rain again, I rolled the dice and went out on inters. I wasn鈥檛 100% sure if this was the right choice. I started this race P3 on the grid but got a good start and was leading by the first corner. The remainder of the race was spent battling for lead position on track with Ashby. In the end bringing it home P2 on the track, P1 in class.

鈥淭he last race of the day was the Clubman 1000 race. As the earlier race was abandoned, this was again a longer race. By now we were back to dry tyres and thankfully the weather held off this time. I started this race in pole. I got a good start but the lead of the race was short lived. Stone passed me in Charlie鈥檚 and I hung to the back of him with no opportunity to pass him for the remainder of the race. I finished this race P2 on track P1 in class.鈥

Saturday

鈥淥n this weekend, we were the first race out on the track with the Thunderbike Ultra series. I got a good start and took the lead of the race into Redgate. This race turned into a race-long battle for the lead, swapping positions each lap. In the end, Butterworth came out on top after a tight race.

鈥淣ext up was the Clubman 1000 race. I started this race P7 on the grid. I got a half-decent start, but it wasn鈥檛 long before the race was red-flagged due to a multi-bike accident in McLeans which I got caught up in (I managed to stay on the bike with a long run through the gravel pit).

鈥淎fter lunch, the race was restarted. This time I got a better start, making a couple of places up on the launch. Unfortunately, as the race went on it became apparent that the suspension setup was still not right for me and I was unable to push on due to the bike crossing itself up on the brakes. I finished this race P5 on track, but 1st in class. After the race, I took the bike to TW Suspension to try to improve the setup, where I found out it was all too soft, so I had to make the best of a bad situation for the remainder of the day.

鈥淥nto the next Thunderbike Ultra race. I started this race on the pole. I got an OK start. I dropped back to P2 and unfortunately, I only had the pace to go with Butterworth but didn鈥檛 have the pace to challenge for the lead. This race was one of hot pace and I was able to briefly break the class lap record, only for Butterworth to go and beat it again on the last lap.

鈥淭he last race of the day was the Clubman 1000. This time I started P4 on the grid. I got an OK start was still struggling with the suspension and was limited with what I could do. This was an uneventful race bringing it home in P5 on track, 1st听in class.鈥

Sunday

鈥淭he first race of the day was the Thunderbike Ultra. This was near enough of a repeat of race 2. Again, bringing it home in P2.

鈥淣ext up was the first Clubman 1000 race of the day. After stripping all of the suspension off of the bike Saturday night and making some changes to try and stiffen the suspension up (thank you TW and Dad for the late night working on my bike) the bike felt much nicer on the brakes and I was able to push on more bringing it home in P4 on the track – 1st听in class with still some suspension work to do to the rear of the bike.

鈥淭he last Thunderbike Ultra race I got off to a good start. This quickly turned into a repeat of the first race of the weekend but fortunately, I managed to pip Butterworth to the line taking the win.

鈥淭he last race of the weekend was the Clubman 1000. We made a slight adjustment to the rear shock before the race. This slightly improved the feel from the rear but with the extra pace, it made the front forks bottom out again. I was still able to push on and take P3 on the track 鈥 1st听in class and broke the class lap record with a 1.10.642. I will continue to work with TW Suspension next round to further improve the suspension.鈥

Morgan Creasey had a busy weekend at the Norfolk circuit

24-year-old Spalding-based motorcycle racer, Morgan Creasey, is currently competing in two British Motorcycle and Racing Club (Bemsee/BMCRC) championships: the DART MRO on his Yamaha R6, as well as the Thunderbike Ultra on his K7 Suzuki GSX-R1000.

Off the back of a successful stint at South Wales鈥 Pembrey Circuit, it was next over to Norfolk鈥檚 Snetterton Circuit, where Creasey used a spell of bad luck to dip his toe into yet another category of the championship 鈥 the Clubman 1000 league on his Honda Fireblade.

All machines Creasey rode across the weekend were fitted with 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 GPFAX motorsport brake pads and X-Series floating brake discs.

Read how the weekend panned out in his own words below.

Race 1 鈥 3rd听position

Race 2 鈥 2nd听position

鈥淭his weekend was a testing one. Problems seemed to arise throughout the weekend. In the end I made the best out of a bad situation.鈥

Saturday

鈥淨ualifying was very mixed. First, I went out on the R6 for the MRO 600 qualifying. I got caught up in the pack and couldn鈥檛 put a good time in, qualifying P10 for race 1. Next was the Thunderbike Ultra qualifying where I was able to set to good time putting me P1 for race 1.

鈥淭he first race of the day was the MRO 600. This is when the weekend鈥檚 problems began. The race initially got off to a good start and I began to make places up until lap 3 where an engine issue arose, and I began to lose power due to being down to three cylinders. I managed to keep going but this cost me places bringing it home in P10.听

鈥淭he next race was the Thunderbike Ultra race, I got a good start off the line, but Symon got a better start leaving myself and Butterworth spending the next three laps having better pace but struggling to pass him. Once we were able to pass him the remaining two laps went well but I didn鈥檛 have the pace to challenge for P1. I brought it home in a comfortable P2.

鈥淥nto the next MRO 600 race. After investigating the R6 engine problem and realising it was terminal, I went out on the wet bike which was massively down on power. I started the race P12. I managed to fight with the pack in front being able to out ride them in the corners and brought it home in P8. It was clear after this race that this bike was nowhere near competitive enough to continue to compete this weekend.鈥

Sunday

鈥淒ue to running out of running time on the Saturday, the 2nd听race of the Thunderbike Ultra was held Sunday morning, I started this race P2. After getting past Symon in Agostini, I attempted to take the race to Butterworth but didn鈥檛 have enough pace to make any moves, brining it home P2 with a gap of 0.255 to the leader with a new lap PB of 1.58.144.

鈥淭he decision was made Saturday night that the Yamaha R6 wet bike was not competitive enough in dry conditions, so we decided it was more beneficial to do the two Sunday races on next year鈥檚 Honda Fireblade in the Clubman 1000 class to gain to track time on it ready to compete in BSB next year.

鈥淣ext was the first of the Clubman 1000 races. Due to swapping classes I had to start this race at the back of the grid. The first couple of laps were spent getting to grips with the bike and finding my braking points. I then started to make my way through the pack, finally finishing P3 in class.

鈥淎fter lunch it was time for the next Thunderbike Ultra race. On the warm-up lap, it quickly became apparent that the left foot peg was loose. It was a flip-up peg, so it was now folding away from me. I managed to lean down on the straight and do it up as tightly as I could by hand, unfortunately this only held for two laps before it had worked itself loose again. I got to a good start, I got pushed wide in turn 2 and dropped back to 4th听position. I spent the first two laps battling back to P2. By the end of lap 2, the foot peg had worked its way loose again to the point that I was missing gear due to the gear linkage coming loose. For the remainder on the race, I tried to hang on to my P2 whilst leaning down on the straights to tighten my foot peg up. Unfortunately, on the last lap I dropped down to P3.

鈥淥nto the last Clubman 1000 race of the day, I started this race P9 on the grid. I got a good start off the line and moved up to 7th听place on track, this place was a pretty uneventful but valuable track time. I brought it home P2 in class.

鈥淭he last race of the day was the Thunderbike Ultra race. I made a good start. I spent the next 3 laps battling for the lead until lap 4 when in turn to I hit the right foot peg on the curb which span it upside down so yet again the foot peg was folding away from me this time I was unable to spin it back. Fortunately, I managed to hold on to P2 for the remainder of the race. A lesson learnt both pegs will now be replaced for fixed pegs.

鈥淢y next round will be at Donington Park on the 1-2 June.鈥

24-year-old Spalding-based motorcycle racer, Morgan Creasey, is currently competing in two British Motorcycle and Racing Club (Bemsee/BMCRC) championships: the DART MRO on his Yamaha R6, as well as the Thunderbike Ultra on his K7 Suzuki GSX-R1000.

Both machines benefit from 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 GPFAX motorsport brake pads and X-Series floating brake discs.

Following a rocky start to his 2024 campaign at Brands Hatch 鈥撎齦argely due to recovering from a bad injury over the winter months听鈥撎鼵reasey was back on top form for the second round held at South Wales鈥 Pembrey Circuit, achieving multiple podiums and PBs across the weekend.

Check out how it unfolded in his own words below.

BEMSEE Round 2 鈥 Pembrey

Saturday

鈥淭he first race of the day was the DART MRO 600. As the track was still damp from the rain at the end of qualifying, I went out on intermediate tyres. This proved to be the right choice for the track conditions. I started from P7 on the grid. All the riders in front and around me were on full wet tyres. This race became a matter of picking people off lap by lap as their tyres began to give up and mine still had plenty of life.

鈥淭he second race of the day was the Thunderbike Ultra race. The track had dried up by this point on the racing line, with just a few wet patches here and there so I went out on slick tyres with the knowledge of the track from the previous racing giving me the confidence to go out on slicks whilst others around me who hadn鈥檛 been out yet went out on wets.

鈥淭he third race of the day was back to the MRO 600 This was very much an identical race to the first race. Again, I brought it home in P1.

鈥淭he last race of the day was the second Thunderbike Ultra. This was the first full-dry race of the day. I stuck with the set of dry tyres from the previous race for this race. I started this race in P3 on the grid. I got a relatively good start and made it up to P2 by the first turn. Unfortunately, I did not have the pace to keep up with the man in P1 but was able to keep a good gap to the man behind me bringing it home in P2.鈥

Sunday

鈥淭he first race of the day was again the MRO 600 race. Despite getting a good start, on a dry track I didn鈥檛 have the pace to keep up with the leading pack. I was however able to get a new lap PB of 1.01.553, bringing it home in P4 with a very tight battle between P4, 5 and 6.

鈥淭he second race of the day was the Thunderbike Ultra. This race got off to a good start and I was able to battle for P1 with the lead man. This came to an end on lap 6 when we tangled into turn 1. I came out worse with this ending my race. On lap 5, I was able to achieve a new lap PB for this category of 1.01.454.

鈥淭he third听race of the day was the MRO 600. I got a good start off the line and then a rider to my left squeezed me into the rider on the right. We tangled handlebars which slowed me down on the approach to turn 1. This gave the riders behind an opportunity to get by me. Unfortunately, I got stuck behind a slower rider that was positioning his bike perfectly to block any attempts of an overtake. Once I finally got past him, I had to push on to close the gap to those in front catching them with two and a half laps to go. By lap 11, I had overtaken the two riders in front of me. Unfortunately, in the last lap I caught a backmarker in the wrong place, giving one of the riders behind the run on me down the straight. I brought it home in P5 with another PB of 101.402.

鈥淭he last race of the day was the Thunderbike Ultra race. Unfortunately by this point in the weekend I was feeling the effects of no winter training due to having my ACL surgery so unfortunately, I didn鈥檛 have the fitness for this race and settled for a comfortable second place.

鈥淢y next round is the 4-5th听May at Snetterton.鈥

Morgan Creasey competes in both classes, using EBC鈥檚 GPFAX pads and X-Series discs in both

With a successful 2023 campaign behind him 鈥 bagging grid-topping results throughout the year 鈥 a winter of injury meant that the first 2024 rounds of the championships at Kent鈥檚 Brands Hatch weren鈥檛 as successful as Creasey might have envisioned. Despite the setbacks, he managed to put in some fantastic rides in some treacherous conditions.

You can read his summary of the race weekend in his own words below.

Thunderbike Ultra

Qualifying 鈥 P5

Race 1 鈥 P6

Race 2 鈥 P7

Race 3 鈥 P2

Race 4 鈥 P5

MRO 600

Qualifying 鈥 P10

Race 1 鈥 P13

Race 2 鈥 P8

Race 3 鈥 DNF mechanical Failure

Race 4 鈥 P7

鈥淭his weekend was the first round of the season. After a long winter being off the bike due to injury and ACL recovery, I was looking forward to the season starting.

鈥淭his weekend鈥檚 luck of the draw meant that both qualifying and races for the Thunderbike and the MRO 600 were back-to-back. It wasn鈥檛 long before the effects of the shoulder injuries became apparent, and I realised that there was still some way to recovery. It was quickly obvious that it was going to be a difficult weekend.

鈥淚 was able to get some clean laps in during qualifying, but these proved not to be quick enough to get as far forwards on the grid as I had hoped.

鈥淭he first Thunderbike Ultra race got underway; I got an ok start off the line but got boxed in. It was a pretty uneventful race and I brought it home P6.

鈥淎 quick swap of the bike and it was onto the MRO 600 race. I really felt the effect of the pain in my shoulders and couldn鈥檛 run with the leading pack and as the race went on, this compounded and I fell further down the pack to P13.

鈥淎fter a short break, it was back to it for the last two races of the day. This didn鈥檛 get off to a good start. I was held up by a spectator鈥檚 van stopped in the tunnel to chat to someone on the way to the grid meaning myself and a fellow competitor missed the warmup lap meaning I had to start from the back. This put some fire in my belly, I put my head down and manage to make my way through the pack up to P7.

鈥淚t was then straight onto the MRO 600 race. I still had some remaining fire in my belly and I was able to get a good start from P16 on the grid. Coupled with the frustration of missing the previous warm up lap and the race being shortened by the red flag I made it through the pack and to the end bringing it over the line in P8.”

鈥淥nto Sunday, the first two races were on my wet bikes. For the Thunderbike Ultra race, I started up in 5th听place on the grid. It was a pretty steady race due to track conditions. I was able to make a few places up to get to P2.

鈥淣ext was the MRO 600 鈥 I started the warm up lap and it was obvious that there was something not quite right with the bike. I was able to start the race but wasn鈥檛 able to complete the first lap due to only running on three cylinders.

鈥淭he last Thunderbike Ultra race was pretty uneventful, we did have a dry track however a yellow flag for the entire race meant I couldn鈥檛 progress further up the grid.

鈥淔or the final MRO 600 race I was starting further down the grid due to not completing a flying lap in the earlier race. I spent this race fighting my way back through the pack to finish in P7.

鈥淭he next round is the weekend of 13-14 April at Pembrey Circuit.鈥

Morgan Creasey recently carried out the Snetterton rounds of both series he races in

Lincolnshire-based motorcycle racer Morgan Creasey is currently competing in two British Motorcycle and Racing Club (Bemsee/BMCRC) championships: the DART MRO on his Yamaha R6, as well as the Thunderbike Ultra on his K7 Suzuki GSX-R1000.

Both machines benefit from 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 GPFAX motorsport brake pads and X-Series floating brake discs.

Creasey is currently leading the Thunderbike Ultra series and sits second in the DART MRO, following another successful weekend at Norfolk鈥檚 Snetterton Circuit.

You can read how the event panned out in his own words below.

鈥淭his weekend at Snetterton was another successful one 鈥 a great number of championship points were gained.鈥

DART MRO 600 (R6)

Qualifying 鈥 5th

Race 1 鈥 3rd

Race 2 鈥 2nd

Race 3 鈥 2nd

Race 4 鈥 2nd

鈥淎fter qualifying, I started 5th on the grid. Due to the budget being tighter as we come to the end of the season, I made the decision to use the same tyres that I used throughout the Cadwell Park weekend. This meant I didn鈥檛 have as much grip as I would have liked or needed.

鈥淚n the first race, I got off to a good start but I wasn鈥檛 able to keep up with the pace of the leaders. I finished this race in 3rd position which brought my grid position to the front row for the next race.

鈥淚n the second race, I got a good start but again I did not have the pace to battle with the lead man. I finished this race in 2nd position, bringing my grid position up to 2nd where I remained for the rest of the weekend.

鈥淪unday鈥檚 races were much more exciting 鈥 I found some pace and was able to battle for the lead. In the third race, there were multiple changes to the lead which eventually ended with a drag race to the line resulting in a photo finish of 0.005 seconds between us, with me finishing in 2nd place with a PB of 1:57.701.

鈥淭he fourth race was much the same story, however by this point I had very little grip left in the tyre causing me to run wide in the final stages of the race. I brought it home in 2nd position with 0.814 to the lead. Huge congratulations to Harry Fowle on winning the championship this weekend.”

Thunderbike Ultra (GSXR)

Qualifying 鈥 1st

Race 1 鈥 1st

Race 2 鈥 1st

Race 3 鈥 1st

Race 4 鈥 2nd

鈥淚 qualified on Saturday morning on the pole position. In the first race, I got my normal start, Stacey kept me honest all race. I was able to control the pace and it wasn鈥檛 long before we pulled away from the rest of the pack. I brought it home in 1st position.

鈥淭he second race was a repeat of the first race. In this race, there were more changes to the lead but I again brought it home in first place.

鈥淭he third race again saw close battles between myself and Stacey. Stacey was pushing me on pace all the way through. I finished P1 with a lap PB of 1:59.220.

鈥淏y race four, Kieran Smith had made his way up the grid. My start wasn鈥檛 as strong as normal, but I was able to keep the lead. For the majority of the race, the battles were between 1st and 2nd places, with Kieran watching and waiting for the right opportunity. A mistake on the final lap and I dropped from 1st to 3rd. This gave Kieran the opportunity he had been waiting for and he quickly took the lead. This gave me the chance to rectify my mistake. I pushed hard to the end and gained 2nd 辫辞蝉颈迟颈辞苍.鈥

鈥淚 go into the final round at Brands Hatch leading the Thunderbike Ultra championship with it all still to play for. I am also currently second place in the MRO 600 championship.鈥

Four impressive EBC-equipped riders make up this formidable motorcycle racing outfit

Market Harborough-based SymCirrus Motorsport supports a number of talented motorcycle racers in a range of UK-based series. All of the firm鈥檚 riders use 91传媒 braking products on their motorcycles when competing. The outfit has recently unveiled its 2021 rider line-up, with four big names on its books for another competitive season. More details about each rider can be found below in their own words.

Elliot Pinson, Ducati Panigale V2 – Ducati TriOptions Cup

My name is Elliot Pinson. I鈥檓 currently riding in the Ducati TriOptions Cup onboard the Ducati V2 Panigale and 2021 will be my second year doing so. I started off racing minimotos in the FAB-Racing Championship and then progressed on to a Mini GP70 where I won the championship in 2015. I then moved on to the Team Green Junior Cup, riding a Ninja 300 in the Bemsee paddock in 2016 and managed to win that as well.

2017 was a big bump in the road for me, it was my first year riding a standard Moto 3 machine at BSB which I was struggling to get to grips with and then at the third round at Oulton Park, I was involved in a start line incident which left me with a broken left leg and ended my season early. I recovered and came back to racing in 2018, where I competed in the Junior SSP class at BSB and finished third overall after missing the first round. I returned to the Junior SSP class in 2019 alongside riding in the British Talent Cup (BTC). I missed the first few rounds of Junior SSP due to my BTC commitments but after I showed strong form at my first race that year, we decided to leave the BTC and focus efforts on the Junior SSP which saw me ending up being crowned champion, with 11 wins from 14 races and missing two rounds.

In 2020, I made a big step up to race the Ducati V2 Panigale from the Ninja 400, I made good progress throughout the season as I learned how to ride the powerful bike and by the end of the season I was running at the front, taking six podiums including two second places. So, that鈥檚 my story so far and in the future I hope to continue with my journey and progress onto greater things. EBC have supported me since 2016. The GPFAX brake pads and discs have helped me win two championships and win a number of races.鈥

Edmund Best, Ducati Panigale V2 – Ducati TriOptions Cup

My Name is Edmund Best and this year I will be competing in Ducati TriOptions for the second year on board a Ducati V2. I first started riding when I was three, with my inspiration to ride being my late Grampy Ron whose love of motorbikes helped spark mine at an early age. I have been racing motorcycles since I was six years old and am a former six-times British Grasstrack Champion. As I grew older, I found a love for road racing, eventually making the jump full-time to Tarmac in 2015, jumping on board a Moto 3 with team SymCirrus Motorsport.

I really enjoyed my time riding the technical Moto 3s and learnt a lot from riding them that has helped me make the jump to Ducat’s. This year, I would like to build on a strong rookie season and become a consistent challenger for race wins.

Osian Jones, Kawasaki Ninja 400 – British Junior Supersport

Hello, my name is Osian Jones and in 2021 I will be riding with SymCirrus Motorsport in my second year of the British Junior Supersport 400 category. 2020 was my first, and coming into a fresh series I was apprehensive to say the least of what the season had to offer. Early in the year my pace showed as I qualified third in the first qualifying of the year, and later on in the third round I was able to win.

Unfortunately, the next round I suffered a heavy fall at Oulton Park which brought my season to a premature end, however in 2020 many lessons were learnt for myself and the team. In 2019 I was lucky enough to race in the second ever season of the British Talent Cup after being one of the very few selected out of all the applicants. In this series I was able to travel to tracks such as Bruno and Valencia and give my best shot at stepping on the top spot.

With the past two seasons getting better and better I definitely have high ambitions for 2021, but thanks to a good team around me I don鈥檛 doubt that 2021 could turn in to something special.

Annabel 鈥楢bbz鈥 Thomas, Kawasaki Ninja 400 – British Junior Supersport

Annabel 鈥楢bbz鈥 Thomas is 17 years old and this year is racing in the British Junior Supersport Championship with SymCirrus Racing, on a Kawasaki Ninja 400. Abbz has spent the last three years in BSB classes Motostars, British Talent Cup and the KTM Santander Cup. Before this, she won two British Junior Championships racing in The British Minibike Series. Although Annabel has grown up in the paddock with father running a successful team, she showed no interest until nearly ten years old when she visited a 鈥榗ome and try鈥 day on a minimoto. From then, she was hooked!

Abbz has endured some serious injuries along the way, halting her progress. After finishing top rookie in her debut with the KTM Cup, she took up the challenge of the Motostars Championship on a Honda 250 and began pushing up the front runners, finishing in the top six regularly until at Brands Hatch where she high-sided and snapped both feet. A year later whilst again pushing for those top six finishes, she was involved in a very serious incident at Thruxton with another rider running over her head when she fell, resulting in massive facial injuries.

Incredibly, after a six-hour operation to save her eye and replace the majority of the left side of her face with titanium, she raced just five weeks later at Assen, scoring very respectable eighth and tenth places. Although she has amazed with her strength and determination during the pandemic, she has not been able to complete the surgery to finish her recovery and races without being able to breathe through her nose, as it has collapsed and with no tear duct so she experiences frequent discharge as she鈥檚 riding, which is very frustrating to say the least.

Despite this, she is determined to be the best she can, and cannot wait to race without these problems. She believes joining the SymCirrus team is the perfect move for her to step to the next level and push for those podiums and wins. Annabel hasn鈥檛 really ever had a rider as an inspiration; she believes in herself. Although she has always been a Rossi fan, and draws a lot from riders in the paddock, she knows and talks too. All of which leads her to her goal of being Britain鈥檚 first female champion. First podiums, then wins, then fingers crossed! She cannot wait to get testing her new bike and start working with what she knows is a fantastic team.
