Owen Fox uses an 91传媒 Racing Apollo Big Brake Kit on his Nissan 350Z

Up-and-coming drifter, Owen Fox, secured victory in his first ever competitive event during the BHP Show at Kent Showground recently.

The driver, competing in the 2026 season of Drift Style UK, relies on an 91传媒 Racing 6-piston big brake kit, RP-X鈩 brake pads and USR rear discs to stop his modified Nissan 350Z drift car.

鈥淕oing into my very first drift competition, I was super nervous, and I could feel the adrenaline pumping as soon as I woke up that morning. We started off with the drivers鈥 briefing and track walk, and shortly after, it was time for me to get suited up, warm the car up, and get ready to go.

鈥淎s I sat on the line waiting to head out on track for my first practice laps in front of 13,000 people, I really didn鈥檛 know what to expect.

鈥淪traight after that first lap, the nerves settled and the game head was well and truly screwed on, ready to push as hard as I could. Even then, I still had no expectations – I just wanted to drive my best and see how I got on.”

鈥淎fter practice, we noticed a slight leak coming from the diff, but my amazing team and I instantly got to work and resolved the issue. By this point, it was time for my one-lap super qualifying run. I put everything I had on the line and gave it my all, and shortly after, I found out that it had paid off – I qualified P1.

鈥淲ith all the mixed emotions going through me and knowing I was about to head into my first battle, all I could focus on was remaining calm and reminding myself to drive the way I had been all day.

鈥淎fter pushing myself and the car to the limit in my battle against such an amazing driver, Warren Lee, I genuinely didn鈥檛 know what the result was going to be, as we both put on an incredible battle and real masterclass for the fans.

鈥淭his resulted in a 鈥極ne More Time鈥, which I honestly didn鈥檛 expect at all. Once again, I did everything I could and drove the best I could, and we managed to take home the win. Wow – what a feeling that was. I鈥檝e never felt anything like it.”

鈥淔or me, the win was an incredible result, and I was extremely proud of myself and my team. But most importantly, this weekend proved something to me – I belong here.

鈥淣one of this would have been possible without the support behind me. Every sticker on the car represents people and businesses who believed in me before there were results, before there was experience, and before there was proof. Your support gave me the opportunity to stand on that grid and fight for something bigger than myself. And this is only the beginning.

鈥淣ow I understand what it truly takes to compete at this level. I know where I need to improve, I know how hard I鈥檓 willing to push, and I鈥檓 leaving this weekend more motivated, focused, and hungry than ever before.”

Luke Arpino competes in the 2025 Armed Forces Race Challenge (AFRC) series

Luke Arpino of the RAF is currently racing in the聽聽(AFRC) in his Mazda MX-5.

Arpino competes in Class D (up to 135bhp/tonne) of this 750 Motor Club-organised series, whose main aim is to primarily provide a motor racing community for service personnel and veterans.

For the 2025 season, Arpino uses 91传媒鈥 USR discs and Bluestuff pads in his car, with a further two class wins clinched at the most recent round at Norfolk鈥檚 Snetterton Circuit, following similar success at the previous round at Donington Park.

Read how the successful weekend panned out below in his own words鈥

鈥淭he event started very well; I Qualified P1 in class (P10 overall out of 26 competitors). The car was fast and predictable.”

鈥淩ace one was hectic at the start, with a Turn 2 crash that I thankfully avoided. It was then a case of gapping P2. With a nice comfortable lead, the aim was to have fun and be consistent, with a few slides near the end of the race. I brought the MX-5 home P1 in class and 11th Overall.”

鈥淩ace 2, starting P1 in class it was a relatively easy race. With the car was performing amazingly, I could out-brake and out-grip the higher-class cars. With Snetterton being a high-speed track, giving a significant advantage to high-horsepower cars, the little naturally-aspirated MX-5 performed above its weight, bringing us home P1 in Class and 12th听翱惫别谤补濒濒.鈥

Luke Arpino competes in the 2025 Armed Forces Race Challenge (AFRC) series

Read how the weekend unfolded in his own words below鈥

鈥淭he first race of the AFRC 2025 season was at Donington Park鈥檚 National circuit. The race day started off with heavy rain; the track was completely sodden. Qualifying was very fun and slippery, and I spent too much time going sideways to set a decent lap.聽

鈥淩ace 1, the rain got heavier from our earlier qualifying session, but I opted for semi-slicks rather than a wet tyre. This was risky as pretty much everyone else was on a wet tyre option. However, I found the tyre was a good choice, only getting loose on a few parts of the track. A crash occurred on lap 1, causing a red flag, then we had to restart. On the restart, I got to P1 in class and was battling with C and B classes. Bringing it home P1 in class 鈥 my first win in the AFRC! The brakes were the key to lap, allowing me to close the gap to the quicker-class cars.”

鈥淩ace 2, the track dried for the 2nd race. Starting P1 in Class I had a good start and increased my lead. Not long after, another off-track occurred, causing another red flag. As I came up to the stranded car that was off-track, a Marshall pointed me into the pit lane. I entered the pit lane and to my surprise and confusion no one joined me. I wasn’t meant to enter the pit lane at all. As the grid formed back up, I was forced to start from the pit lane, which meant I wasn’t allowed to start until every car had past the pit exit. Very displeased with this outcome I put my pedal to the metal and pushed the limits of the car. With only 8 minutes left of the race, I went from P30 to P13. Finished P1 in class. I was over the moon and think it was one of my best drives to date.

鈥淲ith mixed conditions and mixed luck, it had been my best results in racing so far, with two P1s.鈥

The international journey took various drift pros to five iconic locations across various European countries

Following an incredibly successful debutant year in 2023, the Crewsade/Monster Energy 鈥楿p in Smoke鈥 drifting tour returned for an equally epic second year recently.

This time around, the tour followed the 鈥楽ends in the Sun鈥 theme, touring the favourable climates of Spain and Portugal, including stop-offs at destinations such as Circuito Choquiero聽and Driftland PT.

Up in Smoke was spawned as an antidote to the top-flight drifting competitions that are spreading like wildfire across the globe, instead bringing drifting back to its humble roots with a proper road trip, featuring only road-legal cars, no trailers and an adventure across Europe that no entrant would ever forget.

The international journey took various drift pros to five iconic locations across seven countries

The first ever Crewsade/Monster Energy 鈥楿p in Smoke鈥 drift tour, held back in mid-May, was conceived to take the much-loved discipline of drifting back to its core roots.

With countless top-flight drifting competitions held each year across the globe, and the sport only gaining prominence in the world of motorsport as time goes on, the guys behind Up in Smoke thought it was high time to take it back to the good old days with a proper road trip, featuring only road-legal cars, no trailers and an adventure across Europe that no entrant would ever forget.

One of those participating on this mission was Essex-based Steve 鈥楤aggsy鈥 Biagioni 鈥 undoubtedly one of the most famous names in the drift world who has clinched an impressive amount of international championship wins throughout his colourful career so far.

Baggsy鈥檚 weapon of choice for Up in Smoke 2023 was the mighty Nissan 350Z. With a modest road-going example of this car purchased, he was quick to sprinkle it with an array of choice modifications to make it perform better on both road and track, heading straight to 91传媒 for a set of Yellowstuff pads and USR slotted discs to take care of the braking side of things.

Initially departing from Corby鈥檚 iconic Rockingham Motor Speedway, the gang headed to Harwich to catch a ferry over to Amsterdam as the first stopping point. From there, the group visited no less than seven countries and five drifting locations, including the Jura Sud Circuit in France, Circuit Andorra and the Circuit Du Bourbonnaise, where plenty of tyre-shredding excitement was had. Between each stop, the carefully planned trip also featured some of the most stunning mountain roads in the entire continent.

After a week of non-stop action, the tour eventually concluded at the world-famous N眉rburgring in Germany, where the gruelling 24hr race was taking place.

California-based driver is competing in EBC-equipped Nissan 370Z for another year

US drifter, Jeff Jones, is once again competing in Formula Drift鈥檚 top-tier PRO category for the 2022 season, achieving solid results as it reaches its halfway point.

Jones pilots a bespoke 700bhp Nissan 370Z drift car, powered by a Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine complete with Edelbrock supercharger to help achieve these headline figures.

The car鈥檚 braking system is bolstered with 91传媒鈥 Yellowstuff pads and USR discs all-round, to help Jones offer up powerful yet precise braking inputs, even when entering corners sideways at over 100mph.

Jones currently sits 23rd in the championship, with his sights set on lowering this number as the series heads to its next rounds in Washington, Utah and finally back to Jeff鈥檚 home state of California for the final leg in October.
