Martyn Henry uses 91传媒 pads on his big-power Astra VXR build

Martyn Henry is competing in the Pro class of Time Attack UK, in his heavily modified Vauxhall Astra VXR.

To help him claim the quickest times, Henry entrusts 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 RP-X鈩 brake pads for the front axle and 91传媒鈥 Yellowstuff pads for the rear axle of his fierce hot hatch.

Following a podium finish at Snetterton, Henry next found himself at the gruelling Knockhill Circuit in Scotland, where mixed weather and a few other issues made for a testing weekend, with good results achieved despite this.

Read his report below鈥

鈥淪aturday was round 7 of Time Attack UK at Knockhill Circuit. Getting here was a real struggle after oil pump failure destroyed the crank and rods, but I knuckled down and made it happen with the help from others.

鈥淭he car went awesome; from the warm-up session trying to do some steady laps to run the engine in, pushed at the end to find I already broke my personal best time.

鈥淎ttack 1: I did a few steady laps, then turned it up a bit and pushed on, and got a personal best of 54.4, sitting 5th in class.

鈥淎ttack 2: turned it right up and pushed hard, trying to drop into the 53-sec laps, but tried too hard and broke a driveshaft, but managed a 54.5 before that, still sitting 5th.”

鈥淪uper Attack: with the driveshaft sorted but rain pending, I knew I had to push hard as soon as I could. Tyres were shot and the rain came down, a 54.7 was the best I could do before the rain came 鈥撀4th in the championship but 5th on the day with a single round entry in the mix.

鈥淚 was so happy with how the day went with what I had to do to get there. Just a broken driveshaft was the only problem of the day to contend with.

鈥2nd fastest front wheel drive of the day, and fastest manual gearbox car overall!鈥

The EBC-adorned team is supporting two riders in the British Supersport Championship

For the 2025 season, the G&S Racing Kawasaki motorcycle race team is once again competing in the BSB鈥檚 British Supersport Championship with two riders: TJ Toms and Jorel Boerboom.

The duo continue to entrust 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 GPFAX track/race brake pads and X-Series floating discs on their Kawasaki race bikes 鈥 a formula that has helped them secure solid points in previous years.

With a positive start to the year and a mixed bag of results in the previous round at Snetterton, the roadshow next took the outfit to Scotland鈥檚 Knockhill Circuit, where a rainy weekend played host to more positive results.

Read what happened in the team鈥檚 own words below鈥

鈥淭he G&S Racing Kawasaki team travelled north of the border to Knockhill in Scotland for round four of the 2025 British Supersport championship recently, where TJ Toms secured his first podium finish in this year鈥檚 series and Jorel Boerboom fought hard to win his first championship point of the year for the team.

鈥淭J Toms completed his qualifying in 15th place and began the Sprint race from the fifth row on Saturday. In chilly, rainy conditions he got a good start and made up seven places on the first lap and another two on lap two. He then passed Luke Stapleford on lap three to find himself up into fifth position. When Ben Currie fell on lap four TJ was elevated to fourth place right behind the three leaders. On lap 10 he passed Jack Kennedy and then had to relinquish the position on lap 14 but made a final push in the treacherous conditions to pass him again and hold third place to the flag. In the feature race Toms ran a consistent race in sixth place to pick up 16 points which, added to the 20 he picked up in the first race elevates him to seventh in the standings on 63 points.”

鈥淛orel Boerboom qualified for an eighth-row start to the Sprint race and got a great start, making up an amazing 10 places to 17th position on the opening lap. He was riding within a large group of riders all circulating within a couple of seconds and exchanging places throughout the race. At one stage he was up to 12th place but by the end of the race he crossed the finish line just outside the points in 16th position. In the Feature race Boerboom started from row eight in 19th position and again made tremendous progress passing 10 riders in the first two laps. Again, he was fighting for 10th position within the group and was running in 11th for a couple of laps. He ended up in 15th place on lap 16 of 22 and remained there to cross the finish line and pick up his first championship point of the year.”

Team manager Tom Fisher: 鈥淲ow! What can I say? The whole team is celebrating TJ鈥檚 first podium for us and also Jorel鈥檚 first championship point of the season. Who would have thought we would come away from Knockhill in horrible weather conditions with such fantastic results. Both riders picked the right combination of tyres for the first race in such difficult conditions. Knockhill is a technically difficult circuit in the dry but in the rain it鈥檚 treacherous. But both riders rode so well and we came away with some great results. The team worked hard throughout the weekend and has been rewarded by this set of results. Thanks go to our sponsors and followers; we couldn’t have done this without your support.鈥

G&S Racing currently supports three riders in the British Supersport Championship

Following campaigns within the Pirelli National Superstock and Junior Superstock championships with their duo of riders in 2023, G&S Racing Kawasaki is assisting three riders entering BSB鈥檚 British Supersport Championship throughout 2024.

Jorel Boerboom, Sam Laffins and Asher Durham all entrust 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 GPFAX track/race brake pads and X-Series floating discs on their Kawasaki race bikes.

The fourth round of the season took the outfit up to Scotland鈥檚 Knockhill Circuit, where all riders managed to secure impressive points, despite the unpredictable weather conditions.

Read how they got on in the team鈥檚 own words below鈥

Round 4 鈥 Knockhill

鈥淭he long trip to Knockhill in Scotland proved productive for the G&S Racing Kawasaki team as all three riders scored points in each of their two races in round four of the British Supersport championship.

聽鈥淭he weather played its part in the weekend, with wet free practice and then dry conditions for qualifying and race one on Saturday and very wet conditions on Sunday for race two.

鈥淎fter a long delay because of a thunderstorm, the riders lined up for the start of the Sprint race on Saturday, with Asher Durham on row four, Sam Laffins on row six and Jorel Boerboom on row eight. All three riders made good progress over the 18 laps and all three finished in the points; Durham in 10th, Laffins 14th and Boerboom 15th.

鈥淥n Sunday the weather deteriorated throughout the day and by the time the Supersport riders took their places on the starting grid the track was wet and it was raining. But it didn’t appear to affect the three G&S Kawasaki riders who rode well in the dire conditions.

鈥淪am Laffins had a race-long battle with Carter Brown, with the pair exchanging places throughout the 22 laps. But he finally managed to make a pass stick on the penultimate lap and went on to complete the race in 12th position.听

鈥淎sher Durham was running in 10th place during the early laps and eventually settled into 11th, which he held with ease through the final few laps, taking his points haul from Knockhill to 12 鈥 he is now the highest placed regular Kawasaki rider in the championship.

鈥淛orel Boerboom started from the seventh row in 20th position and was up to 17th on the first lap. He continued to make progress through the field and once again completed the race in the points in 14th place.”

鈥淭eam manager Tom Fisher 鈥 鈥楾hat was a perfect set of results and I am delighted. For all three riders to finish both races in a point scoring position in such difficult conditions is something I didn鈥檛 think could happen.听Asher once again broke into the top 10 with Sam and Jorel not that far behind him. Knockhill is a difficult circuit at the best of times but in the horrendous weather conditions it was even more so. Sam crashed in morning warm-up which caused a lot of damage to the bike but the team did a brilliant job in getting him back out there in time for the race. The only gripe I have is that they could improve their qualifying positions but all in all it was a great effort from them. Grateful thanks to our team and sponsors for their continued support.鈥欌
