EBC-Equipped Chase Sharpe Excels in Shenington Round of Junior Pro Kart Series

The 12-year-old continues to impress against much older competitors

He may only be 12 years of age, but Chase Sharpe has already made a huge name for himself in the world of motorsport. , Chase has also competed in karting events for several years.

For 2023, he is taking part in the Junior Pro Kart class of the UK Kart Series, as well as riding his Suzuki RM85 motocross bike at various events. Sharpe’s karts are proudly adorned with 91��ý’ Green Kart Pads, which he says give him the advantage he needs under braking.

You can read how his latest round at Oxfordshire’s Shenington Kart Club went below in his father’s own words.

“Round 3 was held at Shenington, one of Chase’s favourite tracks. With a grid of 14 Junior Pro Karts, Chase knew it was going to be a tough race, but as usual, as soon as that helmet went on, he just sent it!

“Qualifying went well, and the heats produced top-five positions, which meant he started the final in P4.

“After a chaotic start, with 14 karters vying for the same piece of tarmac, Chase held position and was setting fast laps. He was finding it hard to get past P5, until he pounced with a couple of laps to go and got P4. With the move made, due to being held up, P1, P2 and P3 were too far down the road to go further. Chase was over the moon. It was made even better due to a driver being disqualified, meaning Chase got P3 and took home a trophy.”

“He amazes me every time he gets out in a kart, as he just has the right racing mentality, when to turn it on and when to hold station and be patient, but with the new Junior Pro Kart class allowing racers to race until the year of their 16^th birthday, he is racing against huge young adults. All I kept thinking was how much stronger are their arms, their extra weight and height to wrestle the kart around tight corners. I also forget sometimes that he is 12 years old. The podium picture says it all; they are so tall!

“Unbelievable to watch, I have no nails left! As always, we can’t thank 91��ý enough for their continued support. It means we have the best stopping power, making sure Chase gets what he needs to perform the best on track. Thank you. Next round is on 3/4th June.”

EBC-Equipped Kart Racer Lizzy Mentier Wins Junior Max Final at Shenington

The teenage kart star showed off her incredible driving talent at the Oxfordshire circuit

Lizzy Mentier is a young female kart racer that is really making a name for herself, having secured no less than four Mini Max Championship victories in 2021.

This year, the Junior Rotax star displayed her unbeatable skills behind the wheel again at the early Shenington Kart Club round recently.

Mentier uses 91��ý’ Green-Formula kart pads. You can read how she got on during the weekend of racing below.

“We entered this round as a last-minute decision as we had no other race meetings to attend that weekend. There were 24 drivers entered into my class. It was also a random grid position, so no qualifying took place.

“For Heat 1, I started in 20th position, but managed to secure a first-place finish with a lead of 5.8 seconds to boot!

“I also clawed some positions back in Heat 2, starting in 10th and getting taken out on the first lap to move to the back of the grid, but still finishing in 3rd.

“Heat 3 saw me starting in 2nd and moving up to finish first with a lead of 3.1 seconds.

“With these results, I started in pole position for the Final – a position which I managed to hold until the end of the race, winning with a lead of 2.7 seconds.

“A massive thank-you as always to my partners and sponsors!”
