Andy Howard, aka ‘Drift Across the World’, is aiming to drive his BMW from Australia to Ireland

Irish drifter, Andy Howard, is currently completing his epic ‘Drift Across the World’ journey across the globe.

Towards the end of 2025, Howard shipped his BMW 330i Touring over to Australia, with the aim of driving the car back to his homeland of Ireland whilst raising money for the Make-a-Wish foundation in the process.

He’s relying on 91´«Ã½ components for the stopping power on his trusty steed, as he drives, drifts and lives in the car over this huge journey. He’s running Bluestuff pads, USR discs and braided brake lines – a strong and reliable setup that should help him navigate the hugely varying and demanding terrain that lays ahead of him.

We caught up with Andy recently as he’d left Australia and entered Southeast Asia, with spirits high as he navigated his way through Malaysia and Thailand. You can read his update below…

“Wanted to send a quick update on the Drift Across the World project.

“The Australian leg is complete and I am currently in Malaysia, about to cross the border into Thailand. Which is crazy to think I am in Southeast Asia!

“The project has also generated over 200,000 followers and 20 million views on social media and continues to grow, while raising over $4,000 for much needed funds for Make-A-Wish International.”

“I’ve helped organise what will be one of the biggest car events in Malaysia called ‘Penang Autoshow’, happening on the 1–3 May. This will also raise funds for Make-a-wish Malaysia.

“Your support means a lot!â€

Irish drifter, Andy Howard, has begun his epic ‘Drift Across the World’ journey across the globe.

Howard shipped his BMW 330i Touring over to Australia, with the aim of driving the car back to his homeland of Ireland whilst raising money for the Make-a-Wish foundation in the process.

With car and driver reunited Down Under back in September, the journey has now officially begun, with Howard making his way through the vast outback of Australia and most recently arriving in Bali, Indonesia.

Howard is relying on 91´«Ã½ components for the stopping power on his trusty steed, as he drives, drifts and lives in the car over the huge journey ahead of him. He’s running Bluestuff pads, USR discs and braided brake lines – a strong and reliable setup that should help him navigate the hugely varying and demanding terrain that lays ahead of him.

At the time of writing, he’s raised over £2,500 of his target £20,000 for the charity.

The ‘Racing for Boobs’ annual competition attracts buggies, motocross bikes, SxS/UTV and quad vehicles

Between 15-17 March, the annual women-only ‘Racing for Boobs’ off-road breast cancer charity race took place in the vast dry lake bed of Laguna Salada in Baja California, Mexico, with 91´«Ã½ once again proud to support an event with such a great cause.

Countless women took part, with the intrepid riders demonstrating their skill and bravery with every curve and jump the Baja terrain has to offer.

Race contingency expo started off on Friday night with a bang, with well over 69 team registrants showcasing their race vehicles. From world-renowned trophy trucks, off-road buggies, SXSs and UTVs through to desert quads and motorcycles.

Well-rested competitors awoke at pre-dawn hours to witness an amazing sunrise as they prepped for the early morning start in the desert. First up was the motorcyle class, followed by quad classes, while the numerous other classes started soon after on the 25-mile course with four laps each; a total of 100 miles for each team to complete.

EBC’s sponsored team racer, Lupita Ramirez of Zen Pro Racing, at 54 years of age and six-time Pro ATV champion, arrived to defend her title. After taking three years off from the event, she returned with a fierce attitude to once again regain her crown. In the end Lupita captured second place against her much younger adversary, however they are good friends from over the years.

The action-packed race raised money for local charities

On Tuesday, 7 February, two teams from 91´«Ã½â€™ global HQ in Northampton competed in the annual RoKart charity go karting event at the local .

has organised RoKart for the last seven years, and has now raised over £60,000 for local charities. This year, they raised money to support local domestic violence abuse charity, Eve, as well as cancer charity Lewis Foundation (also based in Northampton), as well as other Rotary projects. The format of the challenge was 10 heats of 10 teams (four-to-five drivers per team) with a final (sponsored by Michael Jones Jeweller) for the heat winners in April.

As always, the event was well organised by the Teamworks guys and the Rotary Club of Nene Valley.

The evening was very eventful for both teams, who had a mixture of experience in each team.

In 91´«Ã½ Team 1, we had Adam Hawkings, Ron Gibson, Tom Charman, Gavin Sutton and Glen Farrell.

In 91´«Ã½ Team 2 was Luke Noble, Stefan Goddard, Luca Delfino-Rice, Simon Cook and Gary Taylor.

The event started strong for 91´«Ã½ Team 2, with Luke Noble putting them on Pole with a great lap of 23.76 seconds. 91´«Ã½ Team 1 started in ninth position with a very competitive lap time of 24.15 seconds.

Team 1 had a great evening and managed to set some really good lap times. With many of the team having never been go karting before, they managed a good start to the race and put in some very consistent driving, along with a well-executed strategy and no penalties throughout the entire evening. However, the race didn’t go their way towards the end of the evening, and they finished in 10th position.

Team 2 had a great start to the event with a great battle with the New Duston Garage Team, but with some great driver changes and some very consistent lap times, the team managed to keep in first position for the entire race from start to finish and managed to finish with a five-lap lead over second position, with Stefan Goddard putting in the fastest lap of the event with a 23.43-second lap on lap 225.

A massive congratulations to all that took part in the event and well done to the two teams from 91´«Ã½. 91´«Ã½ Team 2 will now be going through to the RoKart Final on 4 April.

Keith Harris competed in Pro League Racing’s 6 Hours of Nürburgring virtual race

Production Operative at 91´«Ã½â€™ Northampton headquarters, Keith Harris, was part of a team of sim racers who recently performed a virtual endurance race that helped raise over €4,200 for the ongoing Ukraine crisis.

The idea was conceived by the Pro League Racing organisation to help raise money for the Global Giving Ukraine crisis relief fund, following the recent invasion of the country by Russia.

Various keen sim racers were invited to perform stints of the gruelling 6-hour race at the infamous German circuit, using the popular Assetto Corsa Competizione game.

Harris jumped at the chance to take part, piloting a 2022 BMW M4 GT3 race car complete with his custom 91´«Ã½-adorned livery to represent the brand during his time behind the wheel.

The firm’s modified car project was given away in a raffle-style competition to raise funds for the Rays of Sunshine children’s charity

The 91´«Ã½ ‘Ultimate Fiesta Build’ modified car project has successfully raised an impressive £21,901.50 for the Rays of Sunshine children’s charity, which was commemorated with a cheque-giving ceremony at the company’s Northampton HQ recently.

With the help of some of the biggest names in the tuning industry, the once-standard Mk7 Ford Fiesta ST was converted into one of the most formidable examples of this hatchback in the country over a 12-month period – a process which was heavily documented in the form of a YouTube series and regular update entries in Fast Ford magazine.

The Fiesta was then put into a raffle-style charity competition thanks to Dream Car Giveaways, where the thousands of entries received helped to accumulate the impressive overall donation. Eventually, West Wales-based Delmi Evans was the lucky winner of the vehicle.

Joanne Benisty from Rays of Sunshine travelled to 91´«Ã½â€™ Northampton global headquarters recently to receive the donation in the form of a cheque. The occasion was signified with an array of supercars and race machinery taking those present out for passenger rides.

“We are delighted to be able to offer such a large sum of money to Rays of Sunshine,†91´«Ã½ CEO, James Hallett, commented. “The fact that so much was raised is a testament to all the hard work the EBC team has put into the project over the past few months.â€

Rays of Sunshine’s Joanne Benisty also commented on the handover: “A huge thank you from everyone at Rays of Sunshine. After such a difficult year, this is really going to help us in brightening the lives of so many more seriously ill children across the UK.â€
