91传媒 is pleased to confirm that a large number of its 2-Piece Fully-Floating discs now carry ECE Regulation 90 approval.

Initial testing has been completed, and approval has been obtained for these disc numbers and fitments.

MCN demonstrates how to fit new EBC brake discs and pads

MCN (Motorcycle News UK) has recently published an article about how to fit new brake discs and pads using EBC XC series discs to demonstrate. Former mechanic and MCN road tester, Bruce Dunn, illustrated his know-how in a photographic step-by step guide.

The discs they used to demonstrate are EBC XC series brake discs, fully floating, ultra lightweight discs that feature the patented S-Drive button system that allows the disc blades to contract and expand under braking heat. This is down to the square sided rivets that fit into the square drive pockets, which connect to rotor and hub to prevent rivet lock.

The article is called “Look after your brakes & they鈥檒l look after you” and gives practical tips on brake maintenance using the recommended safety measures as suggested by workshop manuals. Bruce goes into detail in 10 photo steps showing how to first of all take the Aprilia’s brake system apart using the correct tools, remove the disc to check for run out limits, clean the parts correctly then re-install, testing for safety along the way. This is a very interesting, helpful article and well worth a read for the DIY motorcycle enthusiast. If in any doubt about doing your own brake installation work, always visit a reputable garage that will fit motorcycle brakes.
