鈥淟ast Wednesday, I spent my day back at Santa Pod Raceway taking part in one of the 鈥楧rift What Ya Brung鈥� days as they are a great opportunity to improve your skills, no matter what level of experience you have.

鈥淚 started off the day tweaking the setup on the car after making some recent upgrades; the idea was to give the car a bit more driveability and make it more comfortable for me, in hope this would help with my progression.

鈥淥verall, a positive morning, with the changes we made making a noticeable difference and also I felt that my time spent on the simulator was really starting to translate into the real life driving.”

鈥淎fter a brief lunch break and my confidence probably a little bit higher than it should have been, I decided to take on what is known as the 鈥榖ig track鈥� 鈥� this is a layout which includes many corners, sections of different speeds and just in general it鈥檚 more challenging than I have ever attempted before.

鈥淪itting in the queue, I will be honest: the nerves hit me, but with the incredible support of my team, friends and family I pushed through it and I am very proud to say that I quickly found myself really enjoying the challenge. By the end of the day, I was linking almost the entire track and finding myself keeping up with some of the other more experienced drivers.”

鈥淎s a day overall, I feel like it was a massive leap in my confidence and abilities and for that reason I already have the next day booked in and I鈥檓 ready to go back and continue my progression in 2025.

His first steps in the sport came supporting a Pro-level competition driver as his chief mechanic at various events across the UK and Europe. During this time, he gained valuable experience on the running and setup of a drift car and eventually decided it was time to give it a go himself.

His next step was purchasing a Nissan 350Z and lightly upgrading it to be suitable as an entry level practice/demo car, where he has been consistently improving his skills behind the wheel ever since. One of the most notable upgrades is an 91传媒 Racing six-piston Apollo-Series big brake kit on the front axle of his car, complete with Bluestuff pads.

After many years and different jobs within the sport, this past weekend he was back at Santa Pod Raceway 鈥� the place where it all started for him. As he provided demonstration runs and valuable support to his team.

鈥淚t was great to be back at Santa Pod Raceway for the Ultimate Street Car event this year and having my car providing passenger runs and putting on demonstration runs for the public.

鈥淲e spent three non-stop days putting on a show for the crowds and it was great to see passengers enjoying every moment of the experience.

鈥淲e had put many nights鈥� work into making sure the car was in perfect shape for the weekend and it paid off with it running flawlessly all weekend. With many compliments for how it looks which was a great personal achievement.

鈥淎longside the drifting displays, I also managed to squeeze in a trip to the SW Motorsport stand, where they were attempting to modify a Yaris GR at the show. Some of which included, body kit, wheels, brakes etc. I absolutely loved the idea and was happy to be able to contribute by installing a brand-new set of 2 piece floating discs and Yellowstuff pads front and rear to the vehicle.”

鈥淚 can鈥檛 wait to be back out in the near future, as I continue to improve my abilities and put on displays to hopefully inspire more people to get involved and be a part of the crazy sport that is drifting.

Apollo-Series 6-Piston Calipers

• EBC鈥檚 lightweight-yet-strong aluminium 6-piston brake caliper

Bluestuff NDX Performance Brake Pads

Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines

• Every kit is supplied with 91传媒鈥� stainless-steel braided brake lines for the front axle
• Every hose has a stainless-steel braided exterior that prevents a phenomenon known as 鈥榖allooning鈥�, this braided exterior prevents the spongey feel of OE rubber lines and provides greater precision and feel under braking

Super DOT 4 Brake Fluid

• Every kit is supplied with 1 litre of BF307+ super DOT 4 brake fluid. This fluid has a 310掳C boiling point 鈥� a significantly higher boiling point than standard DOT 5.1 fluid
• Having such a high boiling point gives the braking system exceptional endurance, allowing you to push hard for extended periods without heat soak causing the fluid to boil and resulting in fade
